PROTAKEOVER

The Honeywell Home PROTAKEOVER is a powerful add-on module designed for the PROA7PLUS, PROA7PLUSC, PROA7, and PROA7C security systems. With this module, you can extend your system’s compatibility to support one legacy RF sensor lineup of your choice, including Honeywell 5800, 2GIG 345 MHz, DSC 433 MHz, 319.5 MHz (Qolsys and Interlogix), or Bosch sensors.

Features and Benefits

Out of the box, ProSeries panels are compatible with PROSiX and SiX Series sensors, which feature advanced range, 128-bit AES encryption, and seamless integration. However, if you want to retain your existing legacy sensors, the PROTAKEOVER module is the only way to enable their support. This module draws power directly from the panel and integrates smoothly into the system.

Installation Process

1. Power Down Completely: Disconnect the backup battery and AC transformer before installation.
2. Set the Frequency: Use the rotary switch to select the legacy sensor frequency you want to enable. Each number corresponds to a specific frequency:
   • 0: Honeywell 5800
   • 1: 2GIG 345 MHz (not interchangeable with 5800 sensors)
   • 2: DSC 433 MHz
   • 3: Qolsys & Interlogix 319.5 MHz
   • 4: Bosch Sensors
3. Replace Back Plate: Swap the panel’s existing back plate with the one included in the PROTAKEOVER package. This specialized back plate houses the antenna required for legacy sensor communication.
4. Secure the Module: Insert the module into its designated slot and fasten it with a screw.

Key Considerations

• Single Legacy Lineup Support: Only one legacy frequency can be enabled at a time, and only one PROTAKEOVER module can be installed per system.
• Expanded Zone Capacity: Installing the module unlocks an additional 123 zones, bringing the total capacity to 250 zones. Of these, 127 are reserved for PROSiX and SiX Series sensors.
• Life-Safety Sensor Support: With firmware version 03.592.107.0 or later, the PROTAKEOVER supports legacy smoke and CO detectors, though only Honeywell 5800 life-safety sensors carry an ETL Residential Fire listing.

Additional Notes

• Desk-mounted systems are not compatible with the PROTAKEOVER module due to the required back plate installation.
• Ensure proper firmware updates for optimal compatibility and features.
